is a graduate from The University of Texas at Austin and has a B.S. in Geosystems Engineering and Hydrogeology and a B.A. in Anthropology. She is passionate about fusing her skills in engineering and knowledge in geology and anthropology to develop sustainable water and environmental practices in industry. She plans to further explore this area through a graduate degree in water resources engineering or fluvial geomorphology. She has been active in the SHPE familia since 2012.

Sarah has held over seven internships over the course of three years, and is no stranger to resumes and interviews! Aside from navigating life as a recent graduate and career writer, Sarah is a proud Latina and the co-founder of We, Too, Are America, an organization that combats anti-immigrant sentiment through storytelling. Sarah holds a BS in public relations from The University of Texas at Austin.
